Salman Almarri is a Reliability Manager at SABIC with extensive experience in asset reliability, rotating equipment, maintenance strategy, and operational excellence within the petrochemical industry. He leads and contributes to critical reliability and asset performance initiatives, with a strong focus on rotating equipment reliability, maintenance strategy optimization, equipment availability, and sustainable asset performance. His experience spans reliability engineering, preventive maintenance optimization, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), turnaround support, technical quality, and the resolution of complex equipment and operational challenges. Throughout his career, Salman has led and supported major reliability improvement and maintenance transformation initiatives, including asset strategy optimization, QA/QC enhancement, maintenance effectiveness, reliability governance, digitalization, and the development of reliability programs for critical industrial assets. He has worked across multidisciplinary teams to translate engineering and reliability strategies into measurable improvements in asset integrity, availability, maintenance efficiency, and operational performance. Salman holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, graduating with Second Honors, and a Master’s degree in Maintenance and Reliability Management from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He is professionally accredited by the Saudi Council of Engineers. His professional interests include asset management, rotating equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, operational discipline, digital transformation, and the future of reliability and industrial operations.
