About Sameer Muqahwi

Sameer obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, in 1988. Following that, he started his career with Saudi Aramco as Operations Engineer. Through his career, he specialized in rotating equipment and currently Sameer is working with maintenance reliability as a consultant in the field of rotating equipment. He worked in different capital projects as lead rotating equipment engineer from the design phase to commissioning. He has extensive knowledge and vast experience in rotating equipment selection, design, troubleshooting, commissioning and machinery vibration. Due to his great contribution and experience, he became a member of Saudi Aramco Rotating Equipment Standard Review Committee. In addition, Sameer has been appointed to several Engineering leadership positions under technical support, Project Coordination, Operations Engineering and Maintenance Reliability. During his career, he introduced and implemented several optimizations in the process design and introduced different technologies to improve equipment and process reliability and availability. In addition, he won several VP and Sr. VP awards at Aramco and this year was recognized by Maintenance Director during 2024 GGPMD Annual Recognition Ceremony for the exceptional performance and outstanding contributions.
